Mary Immaculate Queen School, a non-profitable institution, began educating students in 1959. MIQ is located at 884 N. Lemoore Ave, Lemoore, CA. and is the parochial school for St. Peter's Parish.

Msgr. James O'Doherty, our Founder, placed the school in the hands of our heavenly Mother, Mary Immaculate Queen. The school was staffed and administered by the Sisters of Mercy from Ennis, Ireland through the 1990-1991 school year. The Carmelite Sisters from India, began their ministry the 1991-1992 school year.

The school is currently staffed by five Sisters and nine Lay teachers:                        Grades Pre - Kindergarten through Eighth. MIQ school serves over 200 students representing seven parishes, including St. Peter's. In 1993, an Extended Care Program (ECP) was added for the children enrolled at MIQ School, providing before and after school care.

Msgr. John O'Friel, the Pastor, retired in July 1999 after serving the community for thirty-five years. Fr. Eric Swearingen 1999-2002, Fr. Gregory Beaumont 2002-2005, Fr. Gerry Chavez 2005-2007.  Msgr. John Coelho-Harguindeguy was appointed by Bishop Steinbach to be the Pastor, November 1, 2007.

Msgr. John's rich experience, coupled with great vision, determination and keen interest,
